Future projects and vision of target audiences

The Hospital Museum honours the Geel tradition of care. Central to that tradition are the legend and the cult of Saint Dimpna, the history of family foster care and the policy of inclusion adopted by the Sisters Hospitallers in Geel.

In addition to caring for its collection, the museum aims to care for people. We do this by operating as an open (guest) house that embraces and is embraced by people. In our partnerships we aim for

  • two-way communication;
  • an intensive and qualitative process;
  • tailor-made results.

In the pipeline

In 2021-2022 the Hospital Museum will be taking steps to become an autism-friendly museum.
